Gallant Farm Preserve
Farmhouse Museum
The Gallant Farmhouse Museum was designed to replicate a late 1800’s farmhouse as it may have stood between the 1930’s to 1940’s with electric and indoor plumbing.
The Farmhouse Museum is designed as a welcome center to the park. Preservation Parks of Delaware County uses the 2,400 sq. ft. farm house as a teaching tool to demonstrate the way a family may have lived in this era and to display historic furnishings and exhibits.
ABBOT STUDIOS collaborated with Delaware County Preservation Parks to develop their vision along with the assistance and recommendations of the Delaware County Historical Society.
In order to maintain the energy conservation standards of Preservation Parks, the farm house incorporates a geothermal heating and cooling system and above average insulation values to increase energy efficiency.
